Baby Boy Shower!

THIS is the reason I haven't posted anything on the blog for almost a week! Lots of DIY-ing + house cleaning + party planning in prep for my friend Tori's 2nd baby shower! She's having another boy so everything had to be blue - which is one of my favorite colors - so decorating wasn't hard! Most of my house is white and blue anyway!

I hope you enjoy the photos + DIY ideas + free party game printables + recipes!

Since the banner was on a mirror I couldn't get it without getting myself too!
This was made with washi tape + ribbon + foam + stickers!

Salad bar!

Southern Chicken Salad:
3 cans Swanson chunk chicken
2/3 cup mayo
1/2 large cucumber sliced into smalled pieces
1/4 cup thinly sliced almonds
1/4 finely chopped walnuts
1.5 cups seedless grapes cut in halves
Mix all ingredients together in large bowl.
Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Delicious over a bed of baby spinach with Roasted Red Pepper Dressing

This is ALWAYS a fool proof favorite party game. We played it at Tori's 1st baby shower in 2011 and at my Valentine's Party in 2012!

(Note: You can give guests whatever prize you like. I typically like to choose something along the same theme as the party... For example my co-hostess of this shower put together a vintage-look glass caraf with lemonade mix + lemon drops and yellow tulips tied with white tulle! It was a huge hit and I'm kicking myself right now realizing I didn't get a photo!)

Photo 'booth' set-up!

Recognize these paper globes? Spray painted silver and recycled!

Everyone left their names + emails so I could send them their photo booth pics as a party souvenir!

Messing around with the self timer!

...I think the camera is ready!

She's the fittest pregnant woman I've ever met!

My office desk doubled as our drink and cake table so ignore the array of washi tapes on the window sill!

Tiffany blue baby bump cake!

The mom-to-be loved it! (And she matched!)

Our living room bar was converted to a candy bar! The guests were encouraged to fill treat bags to take home as party favors!

Recycled salsa jars with plastic animals glued on top and spray painted white made perfect containers!

For the record; my living room was very clean!

The Anthropologie candle from my Mama added the final touch and made my house smell delicious!

(There were about 14 guests at the shower but I don't want to violate anyone's privacy which is why there are only photos of Tori and I!)
