Snapshots of My Weekend: Arrivederci, Venezia

Come with me and explore Venice!

{Rialto Bridge - You might recognize it from The Tourist}

Greeted by a lovely bottle of complimentary wine at our hotel!

The Genius of Leonardo da Vinci
{Scuola Grande Arciconfraternita di S. Rocco}

Round room only of mirrors at the da Vinci museum.
It was quite entertaining!

Pages of one of da Vinci's original journals.

Pistachio Meringue from Pasticceria Bar Targa

Rialto Bridge, Venice. Everywhere you turn there is beautiful scenery!
{I'm wearing: Burberry - trench + J.Crew - necklace + Vera Pelle - bag + H&M - sweater}

I tried to find as many scenes from The Tourist as possible! We got shots of most of them and I figured out what she was drinking in the dinner scene!

Rest stop in front of hotel Danieli, Venice

Shopping goodies from day days 2-3.
{Hermes - tassel + Vera Pella - bag/gloves + Florian - Rosa Venezia tea tin/tea + Paper mecha mask - hand made + Various flyers and tickets from places we visited}

Day 3 - breakfast at Caffe Florian. I am spoiled for any other coffee forever now!

Florian was so luxurious... red velvet chairs + marble topped hand carved wood tables + glass covered ceilings with intricate paintings and golden trim + low light + decadent sweets!

Finally found the Hotel Danieli!

My favorite part is the little tassels on all the keys... just like in the movie!

Absolutely stunning... and the staff was super sweet to let us take photos!

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection had a lot of famous, unique modern art and a pretty courtyard. Unfortunately we couldn't take photos inside.

RARE shot of us together on a gondola ride!

Two of the masks we chose from a Venetian Atelier shop.
Left Columbina style / Right Bauta Casanova.

The gentleman was sweet enough to let me take a photo of his work bench. He's been making masks of paper mache and leather for years and decorates each one himself.

We literally took thousands of photos but I'll stop here for now! This is one of my favorite shots of the Rialto bridge where dozens of tiny shops are packed along the stairs selling leather + glass + art.

Arrivederci! XO Rachel
